ABOUT N°30 CANDLES

North of Thirty candles are designed to take you on a sensory journey. 
Our candles include a creamy, coconut soy wax that is blended with a complex arrangement of aromatic scents, infused with essential oils, and hand-poured into a sleek vessel. All of which surrounds a wooden wick that crackles as it burns, reminiscent of wood burning in a fireplace or a campfire. Every aspect of the North of Thirty candle was thoughtfully crafted with you in mind: from the vessel and wax, to the fragrances and the wick, even down to the velvet packaging...we created this product because we believe you deserve an accessible, luxurious experience. 
Our hope is that as you burn your North of Thirty candle, it will create a soothing and memorable experience that will take you on an everlasting getaway.

WAX: 
North of Thirty candles are made of a coconut soy wax blend that comes from renewable sources, such as soybeans, coconut meat, and coconut oil. We chose this wax for a variety of reasons: 

  1. Its creamy, white texture allows for a clean finish after each burn. In other words, you will notice that the top of your candle will harden back to its original, smooth state once cooled. 
  2. The coconut within this blend contributes to the strength of our candles' scent throw, while the soy provides a level of rigidity to the wax and increases its melting point.
  3. Coconut soy enables a clean burn that does not produce as much soot as other types of wax.
  4. Lastly, this wax blend has slow-burning properties which can extend the burn time of North of Thirty candles. 

WOODEN WICK:
We wanted to create a unique experience for our users, and wooden wicks helped us achieve that. Our wooden wick offers a modern appeal and an intriguing visual and auditory aesthetic with its distinct crackling sound when burned. We chose this wooden wick for a variety of reasons: 

  1. Our wicks are 100% natural and are not processed. 
  2. They are ethically sourced, milled, and manufactured in the USA, and are patented by the Wooden Wick Co. 
  3. They do not mushroom and have little carbon build-up, debris, or sooting which creates a clean burn.
  4. When burned, our wooden wicks provide a soft, crackling therapeutic crackling sound reminiscent of a fireplace or campfire.
  5. Its slow burn combined with its ability to create a fast burn pool contributes to its excellent hot throw.

FRAGRANCE OIL:
We use a blend of sophisticated fragrance oils and essential oils sourced from around the world. Each candle fragrance is formulated to work with our wooden wicks and blend seamlessly with our coconut soy wax for a strong, luxurious fragrant release.
